AI WhatsApp chatbot for businesses and SMEs
An AI WhatsApp chatbot answers your company's WhatsApp at any hour: it understands questions however they are written, replies with your information, takes appointments, orders and call-outs, and hands the conversation to a person when needed. We build them for businesses and SMEs, in Basque and Spanish.
Many customers no longer call: they write on WhatsApp and expect a quick reply, at night and at weekends too.
What an AI WhatsApp chatbot does
- It answers the usual questions: opening hours, services, availability, how to get there, timescales or paperwork.
- It takes appointments, bookings, orders and call-outs, and asks for any missing details so the request arrives complete.
- It sends appointment reminders from your company's number.
- It hands the conversation to a person when the customer asks, when the query is sensitive or when the answer is not in its information.
If something is not in its information, it does not make things up: it says so and offers to put the customer in touch with your team.
Chatbot for WhatsApp Business: how it connects
The chatbot runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Business platform, with one of your company's numbers. Your company registers with its own account, following our guide; we never log in with your credentials. We then connect the number to the assistant, load your information and test it before your customers see it.
How it differs from the WhatsApp Business app's automatic replies
The WhatsApp Business app offers a greeting, an away message and quick replies: fixed messages that are the same for everyone. They are useful to say you are closed. A chatbot is there to serve customers: it understands what they ask even when it is badly written or mixes languages, and acts on it. We sum it up in the FAQ below.
WhatsApp chatbot for small businesses, by sector
- Clinics: appointment requests, reminders and patient questions. More in AI chatbot for clinics.
- Hotels: guest questions and requests passed to reception. More in AI and chatbot for hotels.
- Academies: course information and pre-enrolment when the office is closed. More in chatbot for academies.
- Installers: out-of-hours call-outs, with anything urgent passed to the on-call technician. More in AI for installers.
- Town councils: procedures, opening hours and events in both official languages. More in chatbot for town councils.

In Basque and Spanish
The chatbot answers in Basque or Spanish depending on the language it is written to in, and in other languages if your business needs them. We design it in Basque from the start, not as a translation, and test it with real messages written the way people type on their phones: with abbreviations, in dialect or switching between languages. We explain more on our Basque-language chatbot page.
When it hands over to a person and what your team sees
Before launch we agree with you what the chatbot resolves on its own and what always goes to a person. When it hands over, your team receives the conversation with everything the customer has already said, so nobody has to repeat themselves, and appointments, orders or call-outs arrive where you already work: email, a spreadsheet or your CRM. Every month we review the conversations and fine-tune the answers.
How it is set up
- A free 30-minute assessment: which enquiries arrive on WhatsApp and which ones the chatbot should handle.
- Registration of the number on the WhatsApp Business platform, done by your company with our guide.
- Loading your information: opening hours, services, terms and frequently asked questions.
- Testing in Basque and Spanish with real messages.
- Launch and monthly follow-up.
The full process is on how we work, and the other channels, such as the website or the phone, on our services.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a WhatsApp chatbot cost?
There are two parts. One is building and maintaining the chatbot, which depends on what it has to do, the languages and the software it connects to; we quote it individually after a free assessment. The other is what Meta charges for WhatsApp Business messages under its own per-message-type rates, which is paid separately and which we explain before we start.
Can I use the WhatsApp number my company already has?
Usually yes, but it depends on how the number is used today, for example if it is on the WhatsApp Business app on a mobile phone. We check this in the assessment and explain the options before touching anything. Your company always registers on Meta's platform with its own account; we guide you step by step.
How is it different from WhatsApp Business automatic replies?
The app's automatic replies are fixed messages: a greeting, an away message or a menu. An AI chatbot understands the question however it is written, answers with your company's information, collects the details for an appointment or an order and hands the conversation to a person when needed.
Does the WhatsApp chatbot answer in Basque?
Yes. It answers in Basque or Spanish depending on the language it is written to in, and in other languages if the business needs them. We design it in Basque from the start, not as a translation, and test it with real questions written the way people write, dialect included. More detail on our Basque-language chatbot page.
